RWMF 11-13 July 2008

(This is a very very very long post. LOL!)

After few days of resting.. more of a week resting. I now have the energy to actually type something about the trip to Kuching for the Rainforest World Music Festival.

July 10th - Flight was at 1940 on AK5214. Yay! At last AirAsia was on time. I was very impress. Not that they were always late for anything, just that, I was so ecstatic that time, I just cant wait to be in Kuching, and it makes me very very extremely happy knowing the flight was on time. And I got window seat! :D (Holiday…rest, beach, shopping, clubbing, friends, family… ahhh… holiday)

Was trying to list down things that I need to do, things to buy, but I just cant concentrate since that I was surrounded by bunch of teens, and this girl next to me, she just cant stay put on her seat, she’ll be going to the toilet, chatting i dont know about what with her friends, picture sessions…worst… they actually start opening cans of beers and start drinking and giggling away. WTF!? Are they allowed to actually drink beers in the flight? I didnt want to be a biatch to ask her to shut-up or called the air stewardess about the beer cans chucked below the front seats.. but these bitches are so rude. “Which bikini top are you going to wear for the 1st night,Rina? …bright so at least the performers… I think it’s going to rain, so better….“… what?? Are they going to the RWMF too??? WTF!?! Sheezzzhh!

Arrive Kuching around 2115, Winnie and Shirlyn picked me up … ahh home!

July 11th - After much consideration, and since Winnie was working that day, Shirlyn and I planned not to go for the 1st night. So we when around Kuching to do some light shopping, since both of us was in quite a tight budget. and we end up doing… this..:-

*burp!*..And know what? was checking on the weather… it rains cats and dogs.. if we did went for the festival, we’ll be soaking wet and I’ll be all miserable. But dancing in the rain would be fun with the other 20 thousand people from all around the world. Oh well.. Next year then.

July 12th - 2nd day RWMF. Boy was I pumped up for the event. I was so ready by 9am.. and the festival only started by 7pm. LOL. Water bottles, checked, cameras, checked, cap, checked, extra baju in case if it rains like yesterday, checked… I’m ready!

So, off we when to Holiday Inn Kuching, to get the shuttle bus. And silly little me tot that, the bus tickets was only RM10 for both way… guess what. Going and coming back is RM20! Damn it..RWMF website should do some updating wei~~~ but not complaining as I was really excited, what harm does an extra RM10 could do? (ouch! Meggie mee for the next 5 days) The ride was somewhere around 40-45mins. But for what it’s worth, having my left butt cheek cramped….it’s worth it.

MUD! MUD! MUD! MUDDddddd!!!! Stinky MUD! Wow, last might have been a blast since the whole field was … how do I describe it, smells like a pigs farm…(silence…) seriously! I didn’t bother to take a close picture of “mud” as I find it very disturbing, reminds me of someone’s vomit.. ok to be precises, it looks like sh*t .

*barf*

Here’s some other photo’s taken during the 2nd day.

Rose Daly from Greece.. very unique. He said for the instrument that he play (which I don’t remember what it’s called) he has to press to 21 stings to play. Join in one of the workshop where the hall was fully air condition, no wonder the hall was full. Aircon.

Too excited, Pics taken in a bad way

Dom from Channel V.Damn he is tall.

Rumah Bidayuh in the day and the night. Oh ya, I met Rudy from Hitz.fm, wanted to take a pic whith him, but he was half drunk .. so I didn’t bother. LOL!

Yes, I’m wet(it rain la!), fat and happy.. oh hiroshi….LOL! I was so into Hiroshi Motofuji from Japan. That guy could hit his drums for 45mins in fast mode none stop. Very very impressive!

Oikyotaan from India…

Kasai Masai.. Hell! This group is the bomb! He was so hype, the crowd when wild! Even in the mud.

The Finale~. Because I when to the toilet, I lost my spot and I end up at the back. Damn!

…in short? It was AMAZING! FUN! even tot it stink, but fun! I just cant wait to go back to Kuching for the 12th RWMF next year!. Just hope it does not rain. Hope you guys enjoy the pics… posting this took me 5hrs! Tired! :)

Kuching here I come!!!

Yup! Today is the day I’m flying off to Kuching. Time to get some much needed rest from that stupid hectic job of mine and enjoy myself at Kuching. Ya, I’m going for the Rainforest World Music Festival!! Yay!

So I wont be posting much for couple of days, be back only by Tuesday. And promise will pour out every single juicy, sweaty, hot events that happen this weekend. Yay!..

Dont worry, the babies have been send to SPCA for these 5days, and the boys be coming home as “gays”.heheheh.. kesian my babies… Actually missing them right now. :(

I’m getting my DSLR!!

Yesh…I am getting my SLR. I am sooo excited!!!!! Well, at first the plan was to get the Nikon D60 but then from out of no where, a friend told me, her cousin is selling her 5months old Canon 20D. I mean, it’s not the latest SLR from canon, but, for only RM1300 (body) only, I find it worth it. Weii.. selling price out there is RM4800 weii~~

Wonder would it give me the satisfaction on handling it ….

My soon to be new baby…. I tink I’m going to name him “nono”

Now my “niiki got friend oredi… :D

Guess what I found out! LOL!

As usual.. it’s noon, and I’m stuck in the office and doing some blog hopping.. and guess wht I found out?THIS! :-

Daisy’s Hornbill Tattoo

This one was submitted by Dazed :

My friend Daisy had been previously tattooed using the machine, but she was really excited about getting one done traditionally especially since my sister and I told her that the pain is like pulling your eyebrow…hehe.

So we went to Ernesto to get it done.

Anyway, she decided she wanted something tribal of course cos that’s the only way to go if you wanted it done traditionally. And she wanted a design the means ‘protection‘.

She’s from Sabah by the way & what better design to get then a design of the Hornbill cos Sarawak is the Land of the Hornbill (duh!!!).

No specific reason why she chose the placement but the location is kinda cool for that specific design.

She did it on 23 Dec 2007 starting at 6.00pm and it took him close to 2 hours to tat her cos she’s thick skin…literally.

Her skin just couldn’t penetrate the ink well & Ernesto had to hit the same spot longer then he normally does.

In fact he had to take a 15 minutes ciggy break in between cos his arm was getting tired.

Her face was red by the time he was done. But I must say, she did not whine during the whole process except for the occasional ‘ouch‘.

And so, Daisy became a happy lady on Christmas Day & decided she’s coming back in Feb to get it extended

The completed design…well so far anyway

Apparently, Winnie’s sis, uploaded my pictures to one of her friend’s tattoo blog. Hehehe.. kinda cool. Should check out her blog. It’s http://boobytatts.blogspot.com/

Hopping… Blog… yawn~

Yeah, nothing to do. Yeah, I’m still broke. And it’s lunch hour. F**K la!!! not that I’m hungry or anything, just that I have to be extremely careful where my money is going. Well, since that I’m “stuck” to my desk and no plans of going anywhere, it’s not like there is something to see at KLCC anyway, I was blog hopping and I found out my childhood friend (was my best friend..) is married to Cede Prudente (http://darshikie-miyo.blogspot.com/ )!!! LOL! I’m happy for her. Cede is a good man.

And beside from finding that out, I bump into some quite interesting bloggers too. Depress with the tot of unable to get my hand on the new Nikon DSLR that I have plan for months, reading about it okla….http://www.sir-george.blogspot.com/. He really know his stuff. And the D60 is remarkably impressive! Sadly…. :( nxt mth laaaaa..

And as I was going from one blog to the other, I found Raz’s blog http://lifeinborneo.com/. Utterly impressive. Taking every single details, any informations, about any Borneo tourism, about the island, about KK, and Kuching! The tradition, the updated events happening both at Sabah and Sarawak.

I was actually laughing my arse off with Pirut’s post for “How to reduce camera shake”, (http://cenpictures.blogspot.com/).

How can I not laugh? (kindly ignore… LOL!!) I mean, he was explaining about reducing the camera shakes and all, and he was kind of serious about it, but I just cant help but laughing, especially on that particular picture.

(*Stomach Cramp!*) Ouch!

Hmm… I kinda miss kadazanbonita’s (http://kadazanbonita.com/ ) blog entry.. long time since I see any updates…

Oh looky the time.. past my lunch hour… time to get back to entertaining annoying customers with their stupid, repeated questions…. la dee daa….~ *sigh!*

Broke…and it’s early of the month!

Damn it~ due to financial problem that really pissing me off and occupying 80% of my brain most of the time and making me not have enough of my “beauty” sleep,… I’m not sure if I am able to go for the Rainforest World Music Festival (11-13 July), in Kuching next week. And I really really really really really really really really really want to go for it!!!!

Stupid f***king finance people “accidentally” forgot to bank in my salary for last month! Well, not really forgotten, but the auto transfer from company account to my account was interrupted and causes it to bounce back to the main account. (Such thing ka? Don’t know la, that was what I was told.) But the funny thing is my overtime money was successful and was credited into my account. Funny~…

But why does it have to happen this month?!?!?!? WHY???? WHY???? I am going on holiday!!!!! Now I dont even have enough money to even pay for my rent and send my babies to SPCA. Or pay for my phone bills, to get a new DSLR camera, to pay my summons, even worst.. I cant even afford to pay for my daily transportation expenses. *sniff!*

Guess, I have to use my saving to pay off all the debts.. So much for saving pennies for the future.

Frankly… could anyone actually survive with RM200 in hand, in KL?

Good Morning World!

Guess what? I was at the office as early as 6:35am!!!! Damn it! And guess what? I was the 1st person to be in the huge office. Damn it! But I was actually surprise I could wake up early and feed the cats and dress up on time. Fifi was surprise too. Hohoho!

I have moved~~

Well, actually not moved, moved, but changing to blogspot. I wont completely stop posting here, but less then before. so..

8 random facts about me

I saw this tagg from Mel’s blog and really caught my attention. What’s mine? What is the 8 random facts about me? Never really tot of it. Made me wonder, did I do anything that would make people say that’s Daisy? Well, come to think of it, yeah, just that I don’t disclose it to public. Only my family and close friends know’s about it. I’m more of keeping it to myself.

Hmm… so this would be the 1st time I’ll be exposing the real facts about me. (This is scary~)

1) I’m an animal lover. I’m more of a cat person then dogs. I remember when one of my cat killed by bunch of stray dogs and I saw it happen front of me, I took a parang out from my car (Yes, I have a parang in my car. For what? safety la!) and chase the dogs away, but it was too late for me to save my cat and when it died, I cried like someone who lost a family member, front of my house. Neighbors looking.

2) I was and still am a license tourist guide. Have been traveling around Malaysia and neighboring countries for past 5 yrs. But I left the tourism industries for more then 6years now, and kadang2 rindu juga want to go back. Now I’m stuck in the oil and gas (which I don’t like but paksa cuz of the money being offered) and it seems like I might stay here for another few more years before I could jump back to the tourism industries. But I think by that time I might be too “matured” to be doing heavy duty, rock climbing, running on the beach with a 100kg beg on my shoulder, staying under the rain for 3hrs bird watching, swimming in a crocodile infested river, 6hrs waiting to watch turtle laying eggs, and carrying 78 years old, 68kg, lady up the mountain.( Yes, I when thru all that!.. Damn I was fitter then Mel. Woops! ) But to be able to do that again….even how tired, sleepy, pressured with the 365 days, 7 days , 24hrs job, I don’t mind doing it all over again.

3) I’m a license PADI diver. Yes, it’s still valid, but with my weight issues now, I don’t think I’ll be doing any deep sea diving anytime soon. (Sigh!) Damn you fats!

4) I’m claustrophobic. I hate tight close spaces. If you ask me to get into a Kancil with 6 other people, forget it, I rather take a cab/bus/train or I’ll drive. I’m afraid of heights too. But I would love to do bungee jumping. Made plans already just that I have to loose “some” weight before I could do it. Damn you fats!

5) I’m addicted to pain. No, not that sicko type, slash-me-with-a-pen-knife pain, but a tattoo pain addict. I want to get more! I adore the Borneo tattoo designs. Was even thinking of getting my whole left leg tattooed. I love piercings too. Use to have 3 on my tongue, 3 on my lower lips, 2 on my nose, 4 on my eyebrows, 7 on my left ear… yesh… sicko.. but I’m over it. Took out all.. I’m getting old la.

6) I broke more then 8 bones in my body. 5 of the bones from an accident I had when I accidentally overturn a 4xwheel drive over a “gaung”. Silly me, 120km corner turn. Hoho.. and fractured my hip bone when I was carrying the old lady up the mountain. I realize about the pain when I was just about 30mins before reaching Laban Rata. Found out I fractured it after the whole tour, back to KK, and after 3 days. Hohoho.

7) I’m an alcoholic and I have liver problem. Nothing much could be said. I cant stop drinking, but I am reducing ever since I know I was having liver problem.

8 ) I’m a lazy pig. I could stay at home, watch TV, then some movie DVD, then to my PS, then back to TV and the cycle goes on for the whole day with me not moving an inch of my muscles, well except for my fingers to change the channels thru the remote and pressing on the remote game controller. (Daisy YOU PIG!!…. I knw! so Shut UP!)And the only time I’ll be moving is when I need to go the bathroom or feed myself and the cats. (Oink! Oink!).. Sheezzhh~ No wonder fat. LOL!

-Not going to tagg anyone. Siapa juga I want to tagg? LOL -

contemplation….

It just hit me, I have been busy lately, between works and running around, I’ve not been able to pen down all the things that have been going on. Terence’s party last weekend has brought with it some old baggage, memories from the old year, but then again, if all things were so easy, life would be a walk in the park. So I guess, it’s apart of new challenges this year for me, ( End what you’ve start, that’s what Dad always says ) I’ll also have to realize that I have challenges that are still on going form 07..err also maybe a few from 06, 05…I guess house keeping has been long overdue. I’ve been using most of my “alone” time so far this year to do a little mental and emotional house keeping. You know? Just a little bit of setting things right in the head and heart. Ok…FIRSTLY, I’m not a head case…Secondly, the mental housekeeping, encompasses everything form my daily grind to my future plans, and the sorting out of unfinished plans from past years.

Not to be bitchin’ about anything here actually, it’s safe to say right at this moment, I am content with the things that are going on in my life. It’s neither bad nor super duper great, but it doesn’t sting too much lie it used too. Do I want more? OF COURSE! Who wouldn’t want a super duper great life? But I guess I’m content for the moment cuz it’s been a long while for me to get things in order and perspective…
